Mentoring for Women

Everyone will grow with a one-one dedicated relationship. However, those going through personal and organisational change and development have a more acute requirement. This includes organisational change, promotion, times of change and rapid growth allied with new challenges including operating at a more strategic level.

Women and minority groups have been proven to gain considerably from this one to one targeted relationship as have graduates and isolated individuals such as home workers and those at Director level.

"Over 80% have reported that coaching and mentoring improves individual performance targets. Those surveyed also planned to increase their commitment to coaching and mentoring programmes".

Accelerating Performance prides itself in providing dedicated mentoring for women including those women who wish to re-enter into the workplace, for those who wish to excel in their current careers and for those who are struggling to ensure they have an equitable work life balance.

Why a specific programme for women?

  • More women are being promoted and facing dynamic change in their jobs with more frequency, they look for guidance and encouragement in times of transition.
  • Growing need for women leaders to have coaching and mentoring as they have gained high level managerial expertise they realize the traditional path of success offered is inappropriate to their life styles and ambitions.
  • Growing demand for coaching in today's work environment as current trend towards downsizing has eliminated middle management. There is no longer a service within many organisations to provide time, experience and interest to help people move up through the ranks. More people turning outside for assistance
  • Women need to achieve their own unique version of success
  • Gender specific courses are able to spend more time on management concerns traits that tend to be more common among women.
  • Women are leaving corporate Ireland in droves. The top reasons they give is that they have gone as far in an organisation as they will be allowed to go and their work is not appreciated or they want more control over their lives. Mentoring helps to combat this.
  • For women re-entering the workplace mentoring assists individuals to hit the ground running with renewed energy and motivation. The mentor will assist in chartering a new course for the individual.
